Can I take a desktop running on Windows 98 and have the files taken off on a flash drive?

I have a 2000 Gateway Desktop tower. It still runs but is old runs on 98 SE and obsolete. I don't have a monitor, just the power cord. I want to know if I could take it to something like Bestbuy's Geek Squad or another service so I can get the files off of the hard drive, mainly my pictures. I have a flash drive to transfer but no way to do it at home. Can they do that or is there sources I should look for?
