How often should a wife be allowed to pick out her clothes if she is going out with her husband on a date?

It is a given that a wife is her husband's precious jewel and needs to play her part in adorning her husband with her beauty and while she may need to dress according to his wishes and desires most of the time, there are special occasions in which she needs her freedom to express her own taste. While it is true that the two shall become one and the predominant one is the husband, the wife still must have atleast have somewhat of a say in her dress if only for a time. Consequently, there must be some kind of leeway given to her, or else she may feel that her own personality has been consumed by that of her husband's.
