How much longer should we give Obama to "give him a chance"?

I'm still hearing complaints about Obama not having enough time to fix the egregious errors of Bush. How long does it take to repeal the Patriot Act or bring the budget to balance? (instead of inflating it to unprecedented levels)? How long should we give Obama to consider it a fair chance?
