Can a parent sue the doctor for wrong diagnosing his baby's situation and so prescribing wrong medication?

Misdiagnoses is not grounds for a law suit if the diagnoses was reasonable. Doctors misdiagnose all the time because diagnostics is just not an exact science. If it were reasonable and not negligent you have no case.
