Is a 1991 Honda Accord Wagon in excellent condition worth $4500?

My 17 year old daughter wants me to buy her a 1991 Honda Accord Wagon with 140k miles. It looks great and the mechanic who has been servicing the car says the owner has taken very good care of it. But it seems overpriced - and I'm uming that a 19 year old car is going to continue to need significant repairs - especially with a teenager driving it.
