Why is 14 weeks pregnant considered the 4th month?

I get a couple of those pregnancy newsletters emailed to me and they're saying I'm in my 4th month. By my calculations, 14 weeks is 3 1/2 months. My LMP was 9/30/07. Help me out, it's confusing me.
