If a guy with a perfectly working remote control unit in his hand walks to the T.V. to switch channels .......?

The reason Jesus came to Earth was to teach and change humanity. The crucifixion was helpful because it demonstrated God's love to us, and because the grunts (i.e. us) have more respect for a leader who's willing to get down in the trenches with them.
